Date
20 Apr 2010
Location
HSBC Offices, 12 Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston, B15 1QZ
Information
In the morning session of this full-day seminar, experts from Shoosmiths will brief delegates on the impact of the Consumer Credit Directive (CCD) on asset finance providers. Any agreements entered into from 1 February 2011 will have to comply with the new CCD requirements, but the Department for Business is encouraging lenders to start implementing the new requirements as early as possible. The session will consider what actions providers should be taking and the potential impact on providers and the asset finance market.
The afternoon session will review the changes made last year to the FLA Business Finance Code. It will consider how providers can follow the Code whilst managing their own risks, particularly when dealing with vendor partners and brokers. Speakers will also address protecting the asset finance industry’s reputation and dealing with public sector lessees.
Taken together, the two sessions will provide an essential briefing on the latest changes to rules and best practices
for protecting business finance customers as well as providers.
