How to make a complaint

Compliance with the Business Finance Code is a condition of FLA membership. Members’ compliance with the Code is governed by the FLA’s Business Code Group.

In the event of continued or repeated non-compliance, the FLA will take action, including a warning or expulsion from FLA membership. If you consider that an FLA member has not complied with the Code, first send details of your complaint to them. If you are not satisfied with their response, and there have been no legal proceedings, we may be able to help.

Please complete our Business Finance Code complaint form. Once we receive your form, we will send you an acknowledgement. We will ask our member to review your complaint and to notify you of their response. We will monitor their progress in reviewing your complaint and we will check that their response to you meets the requirements of the Code. We cannot award compensation or make a decision about your complaint and we cannot discuss complaints by telephone. The FLA also offers an Independent MediationScheme.
