With the recession still impacting on many people’s ability to cope with increasing debt, it is essential that creditors have a good understanding of the processes, policies and best practice models adopted by the voluntary money advice sector. Working together can ensure that repayment programmes are realistic and sustainable. This course is designed to raise awareness of the legislation, guidelines and codes of practice that govern debt recovery with a view to embracing a best practice model.
This training will explore the cause and effects of debt and you will learn about the legal framework and codes of practice that surround it. In addition, part of the training objective is to get you to understand how the Common Financial Statement (CFS) is prepared by advisors in the voluntary sector.
