The Chancellor will make his Autumn Budget Statement on 27 October 2021.
The FLA has made recommendations to the Chancellor on the following themes.
• Financing decarbonisation
o The introduction of a “Green Wholesale Finance Guarantee” for consumer and business lenders
o Support for Green Securitisation
• Tax Reform
o Radical Reform of Corporation Tax and Allowances
o Include leasing in the super-deduction
• Helping SMEs Grow
o Create an Independent Liquidity Funding (ILF) Scheme
o Ensuring access to finance
o Strengthening the British Business Bank
o Extending and creating a successor to the Recovery Loan Scheme
o Supporting the role of the Small Business Commissioner
