The FLA has written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon. Rishi Sunak MP urging him to provide rapid support to FLA members. The letter recommends opening up term funding to non-bank lenders to help our members provide support for the unprecedented numbers of forbearance requests. The letter also reminds the Chancellor of our previous policy recommendation, submitted jointly with other trade bodies, to create a dedicated forbearance liquidity support scheme, and emphasises that more needs to be done to ensure that money is reaching funders and in turn their customers.
