Between October 2014 and April 2016, the Financial Conduct Authority will deal with an estimated 50,000 applications for authorisation from consumer credit organisations. The tight timetable will require members to prepare in advance, ensuring their applications include all the information the FCA expects.

This one-day workshop will include speakers from the FCA and the industry. It will provide a detailed insight into the authorisation process and those areas that members need to prioritise, including:

• What information the regulator needs and the supporting documentation required
• How to prepare effectively, and who should be involved in the application process
• The process of completing the application and common pitfalls to avoid
• What the Business Plan needs to include
• Threshold Conditions, Reporting, and Approved Persons.

Who should attend?
Staff leading an organisation’s authorisation project, Heads/Managers of Legal, Regulatory, Fraud and Compliance Departments, and all staff responsible for the regulatory changes in the consumer credit and small business markets.
