The MOJ publishes its Claims Management Regulation Annual Report for 2016/17

The MOJ has recently released its CMC regulatory annual report for 2016/17. The full report can be found here. The Report focuses on their impact and achievements over the past year and includes detailed statistics (e.g. enforcement activity, audits, fines, cancellations etc.).Highlights include their:

  • Regulatory reform programme
  • Top four compliance priorities and what they’ve been doing to tackle them, e.g. nuisance calls and texts
  • Enforcement statistics and trends
  • Sector specific activity: personal injury and financial products and services (in particular PPI); and
  • Action they’ve taken to protect consumers
