Terms and Conditions

1. Open Training Courses

1.1 Payment

  • An invoice will be issued within 5 working days of the booking being made. Payment is due within 30 days from the date of invoice.
  • If bookings are made within 30 days before the course start date, payment is due before the course commences.
  • Payments not received before the course start date may result in denial of course attendance.
  • Accepted payment methods include BACS transfer and card payment.

1.2 Cancellations

  • All cancellations must be requested via email to training@fla.org.uk.
  • Cancellations made 15-30 days before the course will be charged at 50% of the course fee.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days will be charged at 100% of the course fee.
  • Exceptions to the cancellation policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis in extenuating circumstances.

1.3 Course Transfers

  • Course transfers will be subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
  • Requests for course transfers should be made in writing to training@fla.org.uk.
  • Transfers made 15-30 days before the course will be charged at 50% of the course fee.
  • Transfers made within 14 days will be charged at 100% of the course fee.
  • Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis in extenuating circumstances.

1.4 Name Changes

  • Name change requests can be made free of charge before midday on the business day before the start of the course.
  • The FLA is not responsible for name changes submitted after this deadline, and non-attendances will be charged in full.

1.5 Joining Instructions

  • Event information, including dial-in/location details, will be sent via email 5 working days before the event.
  • Attendees are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary equipment and materials to participate in the training.

2. In-House Training

2.1 Payment

  • An invoice will be issued within 5 working days following signature of the in-house training agreement. Payment is due within 30 days from the date of invoice.
  • If bookings are made within 30 days before the course start date, payment is due before the course commences.
  • Payments not received before the course start date may result in course cancellation.
  • Accepted payment methods include BACS transfer and card payment.
  • For in-house training sessions, the FLA may incur expenses related to the provision of training, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, and materials for the trainer(s).
  • Trainer expenses will be charged back to the customer at cost following the completion of the training.
  • The FLA will provide an itemised breakdown of trainer expenses incurred.
  • Any disputes regarding trainer expenses should be raised promptly with the FLA's training department for resolution.

2.2 Joining Instructions

  • Event information, including dial-in/location details, will be sent via email 5 working days before the event unless alternative arrangements are agreed.
  • Attendees are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary equipment and materials to participate in the training.

2.3 Training Materials

  • The FLA will make reasonable efforts to ensure that course material is accurate and up to date.
  • Attendees are responsible for verifying the applicability of the training content to their specific circumstances.
  • The FLA reserves the right to change the content, timetable, location, date, or fee of any course. Attendees will be notified of such changes in advance.

2.4 Feedback and Complaints

  • Attendees are encouraged to provide feedback on the training service to help improve future offerings. Attendees will receive a feedback form at the end of the course.
  • Complaints regarding the training service should be submitted in writing to training@fla.org.uk,and will be addressed promptly and impartially.

3. Conferences and Events

3.1 Payment

  • An invoice will be issued within 5 working days of the booking being made
  • Invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date (or prior to the event date, whichever is sooner).
  • Payment of registration fees must be made in full prior to the start of all events.
  • Accepted payment methods - BACS transfer and card payment.

 

3.2 Joining Instructions

  • Event information, including dial-in/location details, will be sent via email 5 working days before the event.

 

3.3 Delegate Cancellations

  • Notice of cancellation must be sent via email to the FLA Events Teams at events@fla.org.uk
  • Any delegate cancelling a reservation will be entitled to a full refund if the cancellation is received on or before the cancellation date as stated in the booking confirmation. Cancellations outside of this date will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Special circumstances may warrant exceptions to the cancellation policy, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

 

3.4 Event Cancellation

  • The FLA reserves the right to cancel an event at its discretion for any reason and at any time. In the event of such a cancellation, any paid registration fees will be refunded in full.
  • Delegates will be notified of any such cancellation using all reasonable efforts once the decision to cancel has been made.

 

3.5 Programme Change

  • The FLA reserves the right to make alterations to the programme, date, timing and/or Event venue(s) at any time without prior notice.
  • Delegates will be notified of any such change as soon as this is known.

 

3.6 Name Changes Online Events

3.7 Name Changes In-person Events

  • Name change requests can be made free of charge before midday on the business day before the start of the event.
  • If the substitute delegate has differing requirements (e.g. dietary) from the original delegate, we may not be able to accommodate such changes if we have been given less than 72-hours’ notice but we will make every effort to accommodate such requests.
  • The FLA is not responsible for name changes submitted after this deadline, and non-attendances will be charged in full.

3.8 Feedback

  • Delegates are encouraged to provide feedback on the events to help improve future offerings. Delegates will receive a feedback form at the end of the event.

4. Liability and Disclaimer

  • The FLA will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during or as a result of attending FLA training and events.
  • Attendees are advised to take appropriate precautions to safeguard their personal belongings and well-being during training and events.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All training and event materials and intellectual property rights therein remain the property of the FLA, the FLA’s appointed training partners or the FLA’s appointed speaker(s) of the event.
  • Attendees may not reproduce, distribute, or use course or event materials for any purpose without prior written consent from the FLA.

6. Data Protection

  • The Finance & Leasing Association will use the data you provide to process your registration. We would also like to use the data to keep you informed (by telephone or email) of other FLA events, products, and services. Delegates will have the opportunity to opt in when completing the booking form.
